Khari Biscuit Recipe
Khari Biscuit Recipe is also called as puff pastry biscuits. Crispy, flaky pastry made with Apf and butter. khari biscuit Recipe is very popular in Bombay.  Khari Biscuit is best accompaniment for chai.
  • 1 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup/ 125 gm unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cups water cold


Sift the flour and add salt together in a large bowl.
Grate in the butter into the bowl .
Stir with a spoon until all the butter is coated with flour .
Add the cold water and stir until dough forms. 
On a well floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle ( around 10 inch long) .
Fold the bottom third over the middle third , and then the top third over the middle third 
Rotate the dough one quarter of a circle, roll it out again and refold as above.
Repeat for 6-7 times. The dough will start out crumbly , but will get smoother as you carry on.
Chill for 15 minutes.

Cover with cling wrap and chill for at least an hour in the refrigerator. 


Remove it from fridge. Preheated oven at 220.c 10 min


Cut it in  square shape, sprinkle some sugar on top and keep greased  baking tray.


Bake 10-12 min or until puffed and golden.


Enjoy with tea and store in air tight container .
