Healthy Almond Cookies / Badam Biscuits Recipe

These cookies are simple & easy to make also melt in mouth. Healthy Almond Cookies / Badam Biscuits Almond Cookies  Recipe are made from powdered Sugar, Powder Almond , whole wheat flour and Clarified Butter. These melt in mouth magical Healthy Almond Cookies / Badam Biscuits cookies can be prepared using either  All purpose flour or Whole wheat flour.

This cookies remind me my  childhood days, this homemade Healthy Almond Cookies looks like buttery bakery cookies,  It’s a perfect snacks to make in Diwali festival or Diwali  Faral , Travelling , party or family get together.. One can store this homemade Healthy Almond Cookies cookies up to 20 days in an air tight container .

My daughters Aaradhya &  Sara is a big fans of Homemade cookies.  both are helped me in making  the cookies. 

Lets start step by step Healthy Almond Cookies / Badam Biscuits Recipe

Healthy Almond Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  2. 1/4 cup Chickpea Flour/Besan
  3. 1/2 cup Badam / Almond Powder
  4. 1/3 cup Unsalted Butter/ Ghee
  5. 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  6. 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  7. A Pinch of Salt
  8. 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  9. 1 tbsp Milk
  10. Few Almonds  for garnishing

METHOD :

  • First Roast whole Almonds for a  minutes in Pan.
  •  Once cool grind in a mixer .

      SIEVE:

  1. whole Wheat Flour
  2. Chickpea Flour/Besan
  3. Powder sugar
  4. Salt
  5.  Baking powder

Add cardamom powder ,  and Almonds powdered in above flours.  Mix them with  Whisk or spatula .

In a another bowl take Melted Ghee / butter.

Rub melted butter/ ghee to the aboves flours mixture, rub nicely with your fingers 3-4 minutes.( this is very important step to make it Healthy Almond Cookies  melt in mouth cookies texture)

Now add milk If needed.

Knead a dough using hand.  Now we will refrigerate this dough for 20-25 mins. One can plastic wrap this dough or simply keep in a utensil and cover it.

Now preheat the oven at 170.C. in  10 minutes.

Take the dough out of refrigerator . One can see that dough will be very well firmed.

Take a small portion of dough between palms, give shape gently press little and keep almond halve on top .

keep all ready cookies in a greased baking tray / tin … Place this baking tray in oven

Allow it to bake for 10-15 minutes .

Once the sides of cookies starts turning brown , take it out from cooker.

Once cookies cool down completely , store in a air tight container .

Serve these Healthy Almond Cookies / Badam Biscuits Recipe cookies with a glass of milk in morning.

Tips

You can make this cookies in cooker .

You can add any nuts like pista, cashew.

If powder sugar are not in hand just grind normal sugar and make fine powder to use to make this cookie.

You can add vanilla essence to it to make more flavourful.
