Ingredients

  1. Atta/ Wheat Flour – 2 cups
  2. Yellow Ripe Pumpkin – 2 cups,
  3. Black / white Sesame Seed – 2 tsp
  4. 2 Green Chillies / Red chili powder– 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Ghee – Greasing
  8. Oil – Frying
  9. Coriander leaves – Handful (Optional)

Method

First of all Take Ripe Pumpkin.

Grate pumpkin &  Remove seeds

and cut in cubes.

Steam cook the grated pumpkin

Check it it must be mushy.

and grind to a smooth puree.

Add sesame seed, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and pumpkin puree to wheat flour.

Add the green chillies / red chili powder, Coriander leaves, sesame seed and mix well, adding some water if required.
Add 3 to 4 tsp of Ghee/ oil and mix well to a thick,(not smooth)  pliable dough,  greses Yellow Pumpkin Poori dough  with ghee .Keep aside 20 min

 

Yellow Pumpkin Poori

After 20 min make small balls of the Yellow Pumpkin Poori dough and roll them out into small/medium discs (pooris) or use cookie cutter to make small round shape.

 

Pumpkin Poori Recipe

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Deep fry the prepared Yellow Pumpkin pooris on both sides until light golden brown and puffed up.

Remove and drain excess oil.

9. Serve hot Yellow Pumpkin Poori with potato masala or side dish of choice.
